Record a product demo people actually watch
Your demo video is doing sales calls while you sleep. It deserves better than one nervous take over a noisy laptop mic. This is the workflow Reframe was built around, from a founder recording his own product demos.
01
Script the demo in sections
Hook, problem, the three features that matter, close. Write what you’ll say. The teleprompter follows your voice, so you never have to memorize it or read it off the screen.
02
Record each section in takes
Flubbed the pricing line in section three? Re-take section three. The good sections stay locked. This one change removes most of the pain of demo recording.
03
Edit by editing the words
The recording becomes a transcript. Delete the “um”s and false starts like fixing a typo, and the video cuts itself to match.
04
Let the polish be automatic
Auto-zoom follows your cursor into the UI, AI cleanup removes the room noise, captions render for muted autoplay. Export 4K MP4 from your own GPU.
So um, this is the new billing page. Like, every invoice lives here now. Uh, search works across all of them.
The edit that used to take an afternoon: delete the words, ship the video.
Field notes from the studio
- Keep it under 2 minutes for a landing page; 5 for sales follow-ups.
- Zoom into the product for every claim you make out loud.
- Record your narration in a quiet-ish room and let the cleanup do the rest. Don’t buy a mic before you’ve shipped one video.
- End on the action you want: trial signup, booked call, or install.
