Terms of service.

These terms govern your use of the Reframe website and desktop application (together, the “Service”), operated from Australia. By creating an account, downloading the app, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you're between 16 and the age of majority where you live, you should have a parent or guardian's permission.

Your account

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us and for keeping your login credentials secure. Let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

Plans, billing, and cancellation

Reframe offers a free tier and paid subscription plans, as described on our pricing page. Paid plans renew automatically at the price and interval shown at checkout until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your account portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.

If Reframe doesn't work for you, contact us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund — no forms, no interrogation. We'll give reasonable notice before any price change takes effect on your next renewal.

Your content

Recordings, scripts, and videos you create with Reframe are yours. We don't claim ownership over them, and because recording, editing, and export all happen on your device, we generally never receive a copy of them in the first place. You're responsible for making sure you have the rights to anything you record, edit, or publish using the Service.

Your licence to use Reframe

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Reframe website and desktop application for your own personal or business purposes, in line with your plan. You agree not to reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the Service except as expressly permitted below or by law.

Open-source components

The Reframe desktop application is built in part on open-source software, including components licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3 (AGPL-3.0) and other open-source licences. Your rights to use, modify, and redistribute those specific components come from their own licences, not from these Terms — where the two differ for a given component, the open-source licence controls that component. Nothing in these Terms is intended to restrict rights that an applicable open-source licence grants you.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for anything illegal, or to infringe someone else's rights
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure
• Circumvent licensing, plan limits, or entitlement checks
• Use the Service to build a competing product using our proprietary code or branding

Intellectual property

Aside from the open-source components described above, the Reframe name, logo, and proprietary code and design are owned by us. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of that to you.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. Nothing in this section limits any guarantee, warranty, or right that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or any other consumer protection law that applies to you.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, Reframe isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. This limitation doesn't apply to the extent it would be unlawful under the Australian Consumer Law or another law that applies to you.

Termination

You can stop using the Service and cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, misuse the Service, or if required by law, with notice where reasonably practicable.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. If a dispute arises, we'd rather sort it out directly — contact us first. This doesn't take away any protection you're entitled to under the mandatory consumer laws of the country you live in.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll post the new version here with an updated date, and let you know directly if a change is material.
